Connecting WhatsApp helps businesses automate customer support, answer common questions, and provide faster responses using AI.

This is especially useful for:

  • ecommerce stores

  • support teams

  • sales conversations

  • order inquiries

  • customer engagement

Open the WhatsApp integration

To connect WhatsApp:

  1. Open your workspace

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Open Integrations

  4. Stay inside the Channels tab

  5. Find WhatsApp Business

  6. Click Connect

This starts the WhatsApp connection flow.

Sign in with Meta

After clicking Connect, Mando AI redirects you to Meta authentication.

Inside the Meta flow:

  1. Sign in to your Facebook account

  2. Select your Meta Business account

  3. Approve the requested permissions

  4. Continue the setup process

This allows Mando AI to connect with your WhatsApp Business account securely.

Complete the WhatsApp setup

Depending on your Meta configuration, you may need to:

  • choose a WhatsApp Business account

  • connect a phone number

  • confirm business details

  • approve permissions

After setup is completed, you will return to Mando AI automatically.

Verify the connection

After connecting successfully:

  1. Return to Settings → Integrations

  2. Open the Channels tab

  3. Confirm that WhatsApp shows as connected

Your AI Agent can now start handling WhatsApp conversations.

Test your WhatsApp experience

Before going live:

  1. Send a test message to your WhatsApp number

  2. Verify AI responses

  3. Check conversation quality

  4. Test common customer questions

This helps ensure the AI behaves correctly before customers begin using it.

PRO TIP:
WhatsApp conversations are usually shorter and faster than website chats. Keep your AI responses concise and easy to understand on mobile devices.
